Notify Sound is a free app to shape custom notification sounds for your mobile phone. Tell your AI assistant, such as Claude or ChatGPT, what you want to hear (a soft two-note chime, a retro coin pickup or an alert that cuts through a noisy room), and it builds the sound layer by layer. It hands you a link that opens the sound in the editor, ready to play and to change. Or start from a sound you like and shape it yourself until it feels like yours.
Every change plays back the moment you make it, so you can soften a ping that feels too sharp, let a bell ring out a little longer or give a chirp a lift at the end. A touch of space around the whole sound makes it warmer.
A single tone can sound thin, so you stack layers for depth: a bright layer above the main note adds sparkle, and a low one underneath adds weight.
When it sounds right, save it or share it with a link. Download it to set it as your notification sound, text tone or ringtone. More than 200 ready-made sounds are there to start from, and no account is needed.

Custom notification sounds like soft pings, retro coins, chimes, and glass dings start as synth layers and open directly in a browser editor. Users describe the desired tone to an AI agent, and the assistant designs the layers before returning a link that opens the sound for immediate playback and editing. Every sound is built from scratch without samples, meaning no royalties apply under the CC BY 4.0 license as long as Notify Sound receives credit.

Each sound opens in an editor where users can stack layers for depth, adding a bright layer above for sparkle or a low layer underneath for weight. Changes play back instantly, letting creators adjust the decay, add space for warmth, or change the pitch of taps and swooshes. When finished, files download as MP3s ready for use in video editors, mobile notifications, games, or apps.
Connecting AI assistants through an MCP server
Notify Sound operates as an MCP server at https://notifysound.com/mcp for AI tools like Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, and VS Code. After adding the connector, assistants can interpret plain text prompts to create custom audio clips and generate direct links to the web editor. No account is required to access the editor or download the library of more than 200 ready-made tones.
