OGList

Curated directory of nonprofits for transparency and rights

In their words

OGList is a curated directory of nonprofits that keep the powerful in check and protect the people who speak out.

Listings are grouped into six categories: whistleblower support, transparency and anti-corruption, press freedom, digital rights, human rights and the environment. The list also covers government and international bodies. Browse by category or country, or search by name.

Every listing names the country and region an organization works from, links to its website and summarizes the cause it pursues, the principles behind its work, the people it stands for and the projects and campaigns it runs now. You can find many ways to contact the organization: postal addresses for its offices, emails tagged by purpose such as general enquiries, press, legal help, intake, donations, jobs and volunteering, phone numbers, contact forms, secure drop links and official accounts on Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Bluesky, TikTok and Threads.

What is OGList?

Organizations working on whistleblower protection, transparency, press freedom, human rights, digital rights and the environment appear in a structured database on OGList. The directory gathers nonprofits, government bodies and international organizations into six distinct groups. Users can browse entries by category, search by organization name or filter profiles by country and region.

Six core categories of organizations

Entries span six specific domains covering advocacy and protection work. Whistleblower organizations provide secure reporting channels, legal aid and grants for exposing wrongdoing. Transparency and anti-corruption groups trace money through open budgets and public contracts. Human rights organizations document abuses and take cases to courts, while press freedom groups supply safety training and legal aid to journalists. Digital rights groups fight mass surveillance online, and environmental organizations run campaigns protecting wildlife, forests, oceans and the climate.

Profiles and contact routing

Every individual entry displays the organization name alongside its operating country and city. Profiles detail the specific causes pursued, the principles behind the work, the people represented and active campaigns. For communication, the directory lists postal addresses and phone numbers. It separates email addresses by specific operational purpose, providing distinct channels for general enquiries, press contacts, legal help, intake, donations, jobs and volunteering. Links connect users directly to official website domains, secure drop links and organizational profiles across major social platforms including X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Bluesky, TikTok and Threads.
