Input, fit adjustment, and finished rectangles

Blind makers and interior designers entering opening dimensions or exact measurements in millimetres, centimetres, or inches into WorkroomCalc receive calculated fabric, lining, rod, ring, and cord quantities. Selecting recess fit instructs the tool to automatically deduct width and drop clearances. Exact fit uses raw numbers for the intended finished blind size.

The calculator determines face and lining cut dimensions by adding documented allowances for side turnings, bottom hems, and top fixings. Fold counts derive from the drop divided by the target fold size, clamping between 3 and 15 folds. The bottom section adds an extra half fold so the lowest panel hangs slightly longer than the rest.

Cutting lists and hardware layouts

Outputs display the finished rectangle, face cut width, face cut drop, lining cut width, lining cut drop, fold count, and raised stack estimate. For hardware, the calculator provides rod counts and lengths, ring quantities, and total cord lengths with four cord columns placed from the edges.

Users can switch between standard styles for a flat lowered face and cascade styles for visible soft folds. If a calculated cut width exceeds the specified fabric roll width, the tool flags that a join is needed. Pattern repeats greater than zero round the face drop upward to a full repeat.

All calculations, algebra, and geometry run directly in the browser.
