Trial Radar
Cancel free trials before they charge your card
In their words
Free trials are easy to start and easy to forget. Trial Radar reads your own mailbox locally, finds recurring charges and trial periods, and shows what will be charged in the next 7 days. Every entry comes with a one-click link to the cancellation page, so ending a trial takes seconds instead of a support email.
Everything runs inside the browser. Mail content and detection results never leave the device.
The free tier covers subscription detection, 7-day warnings, cancel-page links, cheaper alternative suggestions, and plan comparison cards. A Premium tier with cancel-for-you letters and refund request letters is planned but has no billing yet.
Business model: free for users, supported by referral rewards from cheaper alternatives.

What is Trial Radar?
Inbox scanning and local processing
Free trial and subscription emails in Gmail get parsed locally when Trial Radar runs inside the browser as a Manifest V3 extension built on the WXT toolchain. A content script reads the open Gmail page through InboxSDK, while a DOM-free extraction core turns subscription, trial, and renewal emails into records. All processing stays on the device. A build-time guard scans the source and fails the build if any committed file contains a network call or an address other than mail.google.com. The extension stores only the service name, amount, and charge date in the browser local storage, and never keeps raw email text.
Seven-day warnings and one-click cancellation
Upcoming renewals surface in a list showing what is about to charge in the next seven days, accompanied by a count on the toolbar icon. When a trial needs to end, the cancel resolver picks the target in a specific order: a canonical URL from a bundled community dataset maintained on GitHub under CC0, a link extracted directly from the email, or a pre-written cancel email. Cheaper alternative suggestions and plan comparison cards appear alongside the detection results to help users manage recurring expenses without digging through support emails.
